I acknowledge the Province of Alberta, and we in Sylvan Lake can claim land title due to the signing of Treaty #6 in 1876,
37 years before our town, then village and Hamlet incorporated in 1913.
We also share these ancestral lands of the Metis. Sylvan Lake is part of Alberta Metis Region 3.
